Pale Pink
Am african american and will like to know if turquoise and pale pink is a good wedding color for summer?
I am getting married on the 5th of June this year and is wondering if turquiose and pale pink is a good combo for the decorations. i was also thinking of using silver on the bridal train. i am not so good with colors... pleaseeeeeeeeeee help. thanks.

I might suggest choosing a darker pink to go with turquoise, pale pink might not get noticed in the pictures as well as the blue.
The easy ways to see is go to the paint store, and stand at the display and find a turquoise and a pink you would like to use. If they go together, you are done. The other way is to go hold the decorations up to each other at the store. If you like it, it is fine.
and silver is fine with pink or turquoise.

Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month (october) and Look Good in Your Pink
Currently pink is considered a female colour but did you know that up until about 100 years ago, pink was for boys and blue was for girls?! This was because red was manly and pink a softer shade of red for boys, and blue was associated with the Virgin Mary.
Now pink has become more and more popular with men too and many men look as good as women in pink. This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month and is traditionally supported by companies producing items they usually sell but in pink. There are many events organised this month in aid of Cancer Research and many of them involve people wearing pink, either a pink bra for The Moon Walk or simply a Pink Ribbon. It is great to support a charity such as this and even better if you can wear the right pink for you.
Pink is not just pink.
Imagine the brightest fuchsia pink and the palest baby pink! Some people will find that one suits them better than the other or indeed neither! Depending on your hair colour, skin tone and even your Eye Colour, the shade of pink most suited to you may vary.
Let us start with a soft powdery pink. If you have pale skin and hair and your eyes are pale blue or green, this is the right colour for you. The bright fuchsia pink is for those of you with dark hair that has cool undertones.For grey haired or ash blondes, a bright rose pink would be most suiting and for the redheads amongst us, an apricot pink will be extremely flattering.
Sometimes colours are difficult to imagine and finding the right shade of pink may be challenging, but a colour analysis with a colour consultant will quickly put you on the right track. Once you have found your perfect pink, whether it be a bra for the moon walk or a scarf, necklace or top, wear it with pride. If you don't want to wear pink, buy the man in your life a tie in the shade that suits him, then either donate something to Cancer Research or be certain the retailer is doing just that. Wear your pink with pride.
Increasingly, brides are turning to colored wedding dresses on their special day. After all, it is not just Queen Victoria's prerogative to go against the wedding tradition of her day when she walked down the aisle in a white gown, at a time when brides wore color on their special day!
Fortunately for pink-loving brides-to-be, the various shades of pink are the new white in the wedding industry. It helps to have these practical tips when choosing from among many pink wedding dresses just so you can be stylish on your wedding day.
Expand your Pink Horizons
Often, we think of pink as Barbie's color. And when images of Barbie and Teresa in fuchsia pink wedding dresses being married to their equally plastic boyfriends come to mind, you might just cringe at the thought. After all, pink is more commonly associated with cute flower girls and clueless bridesmaids, not the brides themselves!
However, you must realize that pink, like all other combination colors, have many shades and hues to it. You can Choose From among them depending on your personal preferences, of course.
Attractive shades of pink include shocking, pink, dark pink and bright pink, all of which can make your dress stand out most becomingly. You can also choose middle shades like carnation pink and cherry blossom pink when you want to tone it down a little. For the lightest shade of pink, go for baby pink and pale pink.
Keep in mind, however, that these are just some of the pink shades to choose from. Other exotic hues include rose pink, shell pink, pearl pink, Champagne Pink, iridescent pink, Blush Pink, fuchsia pink and even mauve and magenta.
Always remember to ask for samples of the cloth as you want to be sure that's exactly the pink you are looking for in your final list of pink wedding dresses. And don't let the opinions of others saying that the palest of pinks are the most bride-like of them all. Just so long as you don't appear snotty or trashy, you should be fine.
Complement Your Pink
When you have chosen the right pink wedding dresses (yes, this is assuming You Will fall in love with pink that you will have two dresses in the ultra-feminine color), it's time to move on to color complementation. You want your pink dress to be echoed in the wedding entourage's attire and in the wedding motif.
Fortunately, you can match pink quite easily with other colors. After all, it is a combination of white with other colors (think red, rose, magenta and orange) that should make color coordinating an easy task. With that being said, you can complement pink with colors like ivory, champagne, silver, white and black, lavender, chocolate, turquoise, sage green, and even some yellow shades.
Truly, when you walk down the aisle towards your loved one and waltz with him in your pink wedding dresses, you are fulfilling the dreams of countless little girls playing with their Barbie dolls. Come to think of it, you were once a Little Girl, too, and you are just fulfilling your dreams!
